About

At Electric Art we see ourselves as image-creators and our vision is simple: to be one of the best in the world.

Founded by Managing Director Jonathon Eadie in 1993, Electric Art is a globally celebrated print production image specialist leading the way in creative retouching and 3D.

With a head office in Sydney’s Surry Hills, this Australian company are not only pioneers in pre-visualisation and virtual photography but at the forefront of the move towards print animation.

Rising popularity overseas led to the appointment of prestigious American agent, Elizabeth Poje and Associates in early 2009 and our international success has been reinforced by a dominant presence in all major international advertising awards, including multiple Cannes Lions over the past 16 years. We have collaborated with the most recognised agencies, photographers and creative directors locally and overseas.

Creative Director and Partner, Bruce Bigelow joined the company over 13 years ago. The pair met in the mid 1980s and formed a strong friendship and professional association after sharing a studio space.

A strategic push in the early days saw Electric Art concentrate its focus on high-end creative retouching, a category we believe we started. It was for this re-brand we introduced our ‘Play God’ motto.

Electric Art's Olympus Animals campaign picked up a coveted Gold Lion at Cannes 2008, but perhaps one of their most memorable accolades was received for the multi-award winning ‘Welcome Snoop’ campaign featuring controversial rapper Snoop Dogg for MTV Networks Australia upon, which dominated the 2008 AWARD awards, Cannes and countless others.

Many of the our team have been with the company for over ten years helping to forge our unique culture, focused on quality and having fun. What helps to make us successful, is that we're doing exactly what we're good at.

This attitude is well represented in a campaign the we produced for Wellington Zoo, which showcased a giraffe up a tree. It’s such a ridiculous and silly idea, which we loved. Perhaps in a weird way it hints at our future as it begs to be animated. Very soon, that giraffe will have to climb.
