Originally the art director thought photography may be the way to go for this brief. However, we were confident we could create realistic paper textures & obtain a photoreal result using CGI. The artwork for each boarding pass was created individually, they are all different. We did multiple tests in order to achieve a recognisable map of the world shape & to get the scale & depth correct.
