Elephant in a China Shop
Elephant in a China Shop
Electric Art once famously put a giraffe up a tree… so creating an elephant in a china shop seemed very up our alley! Created entirely in CGI , the concept communicates this specific drug is both powerful on the disease state but very gentle on the patient. An epic effort from every department at EA plus a lovely collaborative creative process with the agency resulted in a beautifully crafted campaign.

Hunt and Brew Launch
Hunt and Brew Launch
We loved this fun launch concept “Always Hunting” created by the guys over at Sunday Gravy. Hunt and Brew source the best coffee beans from all over the world, much like all us of us really, just trying to hunt down the best coffee we can find.
EA comped a menagerie of fauna and flora imagery to create these delightful scenes reminiscent of old school National Geographic mags. We lit and shot the product to suit the scenes, added them in and applied a cool vintage film grade.

Bull In A China Shop
Testimonial: “Tremendous THANK YOU for your incredible hard work on these two campaigns.
The artwork speaks for itself to the outstanding level of craft, talent and heart poured into it.
We couldn’t ask for better (or more patient) partners to bring these ideas to life. Looking forward to our next collaboration!”

Bull in a China Shop
We're thrilled to share this work for DDB Health NY, it's definitely a dream brief and one of our favorite campaigns. How does one communicate that a new drug is both powerful, offering the efficacy that the patient's disease demands, yet is gentle on the patient at the same time? A bull in a china shop!! We jumped at the chance to bring this visual metaphor to life.
Creating, sculpting, texturing and animated CGI animals is considered “next level difficult” in the CGI world. Creating photo-real china shops to go with them is no easy task either, but in the end, these custom built animals and shops were a labour of love for the Electric Art CGI, Retouching, and Compositing departments!
An epic effort from all plus a lovely collaborative creative process with the agency resulted in a beautifully crafted final animation.

Tiger Trade
Character Design Phase
Tiger Trade
Akcelo approached EA with this cute brief to design & create CGI characters & set ups for the Tiger Trade App’s relaunch in NZ. The power and strength of the tiger complimented by the clever resourceful, little Kiwi bird reflect the key features of the App.

Cesar Westie
Cesar Westie
Creaytive came to us to create the perfect hero Westie & puppy for Cesar’s global redesign. Both the original westie assets were posed front 3/4 and they needed to be recreated facing directly forward.
Our brief was to retain as much of the personality of the original assets as possible whilst enhancing all the details in the key elements especially in the fur. This was an incredibly intricate compositing project, literally moving individual hairs! Amazing attention to every little detail helped lead to an awesome result.

Esri
We created this epic campaign for Esri, a software company that utilises location technology such as mapping and data analytics to assist organisations to “See What Others Can’t". Even prior to COVID-19 a worldwide shoot on this scale wasn’t feasible for this client in terms of timings and budget. CEA were able to utilise CGI, stock and local photography to create each environment, delivering a campaign of seven photo-real stills images and corresponding looping cinemagraphs.
We created FX builds on the Forest, Construction and Port assets that show a quick glimpse into the CGI process. A brilliant team effort from our guys, agency and client, and one of which we are all immensely proud of.

Gorgeous campaign for nutritionally balanced stock feed, CopRice.
The feedbags and see saw were created in CGI and comped into the quintessential Aussie landscapes. We once put a giraffe up a tree, so a cow and a sheep on a see saw seemed do-able!

Pharma Knight
Pharma agency Area23 NY commissioned us to create a CGI knight to depict their client brand's efficacy in fighting Type 2 diabetes. Electric Art designed & built the CGI coat of armour & the hi-tech lance. Our retouching guys did an awesome job bringing all the elements together to create a series of dynamic visuals. Schick - Free Your Skin
Schick - Free Your Skin
We loved the concept of this brief & knew it had the potential to look amazing. Several test comps were done initially to explore the size, type, colour & position of the animal. We settled on a mixture of ferrets for the limbs, face & tail & rabbits for the softer fuller fur of the body. The agency street cast an awesome range of hipsters & Troy worked his magic shooting the selected talent in Auckland.
Stephen did a great job shooting the furry critters matching the portrait lighting & posing the animals to match our rough comps. Our menagerie consisted of 6 ferrets & 9 rabbits, all various colours. The rabbits were the best looking of the bunch although the ferrets had all the personality & a rather.. unique.. smell about them. A million furry captures later & we had a fantastic bank of material. The rough comp was remade in high res with input from the creatives & Troy. A super challenging deadline was made achievable thanks to an awesome team effort!
